Prototypes had issues: frosted glass had lines, rose gold lids quickly fades, and holographic stickers peeled when the jar was handled. These flaws reduce the premium image and put them at risk, as customers connect kernels with careful packaging.
Problem Analysis
Streaks in frosting came from uneven sandblasting. Tarnishing occurred because lids lacked a protective lacquer. Stickers peeled due to poor adhesion—glass wasn’t properly cleaned before application, leaving residue.
Our solution
We adjusted sandblasting pressure for uniform frosting, tested 30 pcs samples. Added a clear lacquer to lids to prevent tarnishing. Cleaned glass with alcohol before applying stickers, using a stronger adhesive.
Results
Final glass cream jars were flawless: smooth frosting, durable rose gold lids, and secure stickers. The distributor reported a 25% higher sell-through rate compared to their previous lines, with customers citing the “luxurious packaging” as a key purchase driver.
