The composition of the cologne bottle is simple and straightforward although defining a design that integrates a blend of classic and modern structured geometric styles through a hot glass molding process presented a challenge. Due to the nature of hot glass molding, a greater likelihood for wall thickness inconsistency and unexpected warped geometry would occur. Both of these geometric defects compromised both aesthetics and functional longevity.

Our technical team studied the dilemma closely and confirmed the true root causes of the issue: the degree, angles, and symmetry of the designed shapes induced abnormal stress on the molten glass while cooling. Sometimes the stress imbalance caused a slight distortion-which interrupted visual harmony. To mitigate the situation, we evolved mold precision and molding parameters, and collaborated closely with the customer to marry technical feasibility along with creative vision.

Several distinct actions were taken to address the cause:
- Enhanced mold precision greatly reduced deviations in the hot forming process.
- Controlled cooling sequence (low-to-high) allowed for graded stress relief and mitigated risks of warping.
- Addressing glass viscosity parameters assisted in improved flowability of the geometric cross-section.
- Finally, we implemented a small pilot batch to help generate customer feedback, prior to rolling out full-scale production.
結果
The end result was a perfect set of bespoke cologne bottles that beautifully represented the client’s vision. The bottles retained their precise, geometric quality without any alteration, and brought together durability, functionality, and exquisite design. The success bolstered the client’s belief in Vesseluxe, and the bottles are now an integral part of their premium scent line, enjoyed by customers throughout Europe.

To open a screw-cap bottle, firmly grip the bottle with one hand and twist the cap counter-clockwise with the other.
