Client Background

A UK-based high-end skincare brand specializing in organic creams needed custom cream jars packaging. They sought custom 40ml and 60ml frosted glass jars with a gold, sloped lid, a leak-proof silicone seal, and a printed brand logo. They selected Vesseluse for premium packaging that matched their high-end image.

The initial prototype designs revealed three major issues. First, the cobalt blue glass used for UV security had an intensity of incompatible color – some bottles were very light, which reduced the stability of the brand. Second, dropper – A major component to spread essential oils – often the initial use, stuck in the neck of the bottle after disappointing examiners. Third, hand -painted gold stripes were easily separated during shipping tests, which separated from the premium appearance of the brand. These defects can damage the reputation of the brand for quality, so the customer requires rapid, targeted solutions.

Prototypes had flaws: frosted glass had unequal transparency, gold plating on the lids quickly fades, and the seal was leaked when the jar tilted. These issues damaged the reputation of the brand for quality.

Uneven frosting came from inconsistent sandblasting pressure. Tarnishing occurred because the gold plating lacked a protective coating. Leaks stemmed from ill-fitting silicone seals due to imprecise lid measurements.

Our solution

We calibrated sandblasting equipment for uniform frosting. Added a clear protective layer to gold-plated lids. Resized seals and adjusted lid molds for a tight fit, testing 50 pcs samples.

Results

The final cream jars packaging were flawless: even frosting, durable gold lids, and no leaks. We delivered 10,000 jars on time.
