Challenges
Two significant issues arose while customizing.
- Infusing a natural luxury style that aligned with the brand identity
Focusing on the development of a natural luxury design that was consistent with the brand identity.
The client wanted a calm and a botanical feel to the roller bottles. They wanted soft, amber gradient glass, matte coating and minimalist silk screen printing with bamboo-look caps to highlight sustainability and wellness.
Precise spraying control was needed to get a consistent amber gradient on the small capacity bottles, however. The irregular coating may be easily noticeable under retail lighting particularly on the curved bottle surface area. Moreover, the matte base on which the logo was to be printed meant that the silk-screen design had to be crisp and resilient to the matte surface.
The product had to be aesthetically pleasing, while maintaining the natural branding and ensuring production consistency, which meant making multiple changes to the coating and printing process.
- Making essential oil formulas leak-proof
The roller bottles were mainly used for concentrated essential oils, which leaves seal ability as a key factor. The client wanted smooth rolling stainless steel balls and to avoid leakage during shipping and use.
There is the potential for oil leakage or disassembly due to even slight differences in dimension between the bottle neck, the roller housing and the cap. There were also some essential oils that had citrus extracts in them, which needed to be compatible in order to make the inner components and coatings last long enough.
It took a few iterations of functional testing to ensure both a high level of user experience and good sealing functionality.

Result
To overcome these problems, Vesseluxe developed the decorating pattern and also the construction parts of the roller bottles.
We optimised the spray coating parameters and printing alignment process to guarantee the smooth gradient transitions and the clarity of the logo in all production batches. Our engineering team also worked on neck and roller fit tolerances for greater precision and to help with leak resistance.
Additionally, essential oil compatibility tests and transportation simulations were conducted to further guarantee the sealing stability and durability of the coating for use in actual conditions.
We communicated with the client throughout the entire project, updating him on the prototype, feedback from testing and progress of the production. This shared process provided for the ultimate products to be fully in line with the brand’s image and work requirements.
The end product roller bottles were able to achieve excellent visual appearance properties, excellent application performance properties and stable bulk properties, thus meeting the client’s requirements as part of its aromatherapy market.

- Cost Optimization and Mass Production: Once the final design is confirmed, we optimized cost and production process to ensure strict quality standards and control costs. Every batch has been carefully inspected prior to packaging.
- Regular Communication and Delivery Assurance: In mass production, we kept regular contact with the client, and shared the production schedule and shipment news. This provided transparency, on time delivery and satisfaction.
